Chef Pons is one of my favourite restaurants in Cape Town. It has a great relaxed atmosphere and the food is excellent. The prices are extremely reasonable for what you get. They are not stingy on their prawns!
Recommendations:
- Asian Mixed Starter - is to die for
- Tom Yum Kung is the best I have ever had!
- Duck (the one with the pancake is not the best though)
- Prawns/calamari with chilli and basil
- Prawns with coconut sauce
- Red Curry
The bathrooms are adequate. The service is fast, knowledgeable and friendly.
Rating: 9/10 (would get a 10 if they did not sell Kingklip which is on the orange list with SASSI)
