Theatre: Salome

If you can get a seat to see this play before 29 May 2010, get one! It is a magical play directed by Geoffrey Highland that will leave you enthralled! Don't let the fact that all the actors are third year theatre students put you off. Under Highland's direction, lets just say, everything he touches turns to gold (and silver and red...). You will also not want to miss the dance scene - much more imaginative than I thought the dance of the seven veils could be! The costumes are a delight of different textures and really do set the scene of this decadent play. This is definitely a case where you can get off the couch and come to the theatre at 8 pm until 29 May 2010 (that is the Arena Theatre - 021 480 7129).
